As a woman, you need to be informed about cervical cancer. First, you should know, this type of cancer can be life-threatening. Second, and more important, is this point: It's preventable — and treatable, especially when caught early.
What is cervical cancer?
It starts in the cells of the cervix — the lower, narrow end of the uterus, or womb. Unchecked, the cancer can spread to other parts of the body — and become much more serious.
